Huddersfield care home pulls out the stops to celebrate the royal wedding

    Across the country care homes have celebrated the royal wedding with various events.

    Huddersfield care home residents at, The Oakes enjoyed an afternoon with Lindley Brass Band.

    The afternoon was so warm that residents were able to enjoy the music outside along with afternoon tea.

    ‘It was a ‘right royal send-off’ said Lisa Bailey the Wellbeing coordinator for the HC-One care home.

    ‘The residents enjoyed the music, especially the fact that some of the junior band members came along’

    One of residents, Frank used to be the trombone player in the band so he was especially delighted to have them visit’

    ‘We pride ourselves on delivering Kind Care and embracing the local community and we regularly have different events on that are well supported by the nearby residents’
