A Brighton and Mid Sussex live-in care provider will be educating people about dementia by running free information sessions for members of the community after becoming a Dementia Friends Champion.

Promedica24 Regional Partner, Lesley Cruickshank-Robb, will use her knowledge to raise awareness of the condition by hosting free Dementia Friends information sessions for anyone wanting advice or guidance.

Run by volunteers, and supported and organised by the Alzheimer’s Society, the sessions aim to create Dementia Friends who learn more about what it is like to live with dementia and turn that understanding into action.

Lesley, commented: “Many people know someone who is living with dementia and I think it’s important to make an effort to find ways in which we can help them. I’m looking forward to sharing my experiences with the community and together we can provide help and understanding to those who need it most.”

A former nurse and residential care manager, Lesley has extensive experience of working with people with dementia and hopes to improve the lives of people across her region.
