As summer is seemingly slipping away, residents of Dene Holm Residential Care Home took a trip to the beach, to enjoy the last few rare rays of sun.

Accompanied by staff of the Dene Holm Road care home, the group of residents boarded the minibus, looking forward to a day of sun, sea and sand at Herne Bay.

Once at their destination, the residents left the bus and stretched their legs, enjoying a stroll along the seafront, soaking up the sun and taking in the salty sea air.

After their relaxed ramble, the residents had built up quite an appetite so decided to find somewhere for lunch and of course, as they were at the seaside, nothing other than fish and chips would do!

Chris Hutchinson, home manager of Dene Holm commented: “We do our best here at Dene Holm to ensure that our residents are able to enjoy days out when the warmer months are here, whether that is a day at the beach or just a stroll into town for a coffee. They all reported that they had a lovely day and are looking forward to their next outing.”
