Residents, family and friends at Sunrise of Eastbourne are gearing up to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society by taking part in their upcoming Reminiscence Ramblers Memory Walk.

Within the Sunrise of Eastbourne community, a group of residents living with dementia in the Reminiscence Neighbourhood (dedicated neighbourhood for residents living with dementia) lead joyful and purposeful lives by running their own activity group – the Reminiscence Ramblers.

The Reminiscence Ramblers was launched by resident Pat Bruce who has always encouraged others to occasionally ramble around the garden.

The group has enjoyed immense success and is now expanding this movement to showcase their inspiring lives and contribute to an important cause.

On 2nd August 2017 at 3 pm, the Reminiscence Ramblers will be walking with pride from Sunrise of Eastbourne to Hampden Park alongside their Sunrise family and friends to show everyone that you can still live happily with dementia while also raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society.

Please join us in our fundraising efforts by visiting www.justgiving.com/fundraising/nancy-ivison and donate generously to raise money for a great cause, and support those with dementia
