Easter fun!

The Easter Bunny paid an early visit to Dene Holm Care Home this week, where residents have been enjoying a spot of eggstra special Easter themed crafting.

With the Easter weekend quickly approaching, residents of the Northfleet care home got into the spirit of spring and got involved with an Easter bonnet making competition.

The group of artistic residents got stuck in, using a variety of items to adorn their bonnets, including chicks, mini eggs, stickers, ribbon and plenty of pretty spring flowers.

With their fabulous assortment of themed bonnets complete, residents will be participating in a collective parade over the Easter weekend, to showcase their creations and select a well deserved winner of their Easter bonnet competition.

Chris Hutchinson, home manager of Dene Holm commented: “We have some very artistic residents here at Dene Holm, whom always love to get involved with creative and inventive activities.

“One of our ladies remembered making Easter bonnets when she was younger with her families, so she had a lovely time reminiscing about her past and getting stuck in.”
