Bupa’s Burley Hall Care Home on Cornmill Lane in Burley-in-Wharfedale has appointed Jonathan Easby as its new manager.

Jonathan, who holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Studies from Southampton Solent University, spent the first 20 years of his career in retail, working up to his role as Senior Manager Store Development at ASDA supermarkets. After a fruitful career in retail, Jonathan decided on a change of profession to care and gained experience at Knowles Court and Southlands care homes.

Jonathan will oversee the running of the 49-bed home and take responsibility for a team of 60 staff.

Jonathan commented:  “I’m delighted to join the team at Burley Hall and I’m looking forward to working with everyone here to ensure that we provide the highest standards of care.

“It’s important to me that this is a homely, safe and comfortable environment for our residents to live in, and I will strive to provide expert care whilst being a part of the Burley Hall family.”

Vincent Hart, Regional Director for Bupa Care Services, said: “Jonathan has broad experience in management and will be working with his team to ensure that the home continues to provide the highest standards of care and build strong relationships with our local community.”

Burley Hall Care Home provides specialist nursing and residential care for people living with dementia. They also offer long or short-term stays providing respite, convalescence and palliative care.
