New Northwich Care Home given 5* Environmental Health rating

Lostock Lodge Care Home in Lostock Gralam, Northwich has been awarded a five star rating by Environmental Health after a rigorous inspection found excellent food hygiene throughout the brand new care home.

 

The achievement is the highest rating a care home can receive from Environmental Health officers, and shows the home has complied with statutory obligations by showing outstanding food hygiene standards.

 

Lostock Lodge Care Home is part of the Country Court Care Group and will provide care to 66 older residents. Officially opened on the 13th of June by George Osborne MP, former Chancellor of the Exchequer, Lostock Lodge Care Home is registered to provide personalised residential and dementia care in a state-of-the-art environment.

 

The home has been purpose built to promote a lifestyle for residents that offers homely accommodation and a high quality of personalised care. The home boasts 66 en-suite bedrooms, a hair & nail salon, spa, café/bistro, shop, gym, cinema room, numerous lounges and communal areas.

 

Lostock Lodge Care Home was recognised for its efforts to minimise the risk of residents becoming ill by ensuring a high standard of food hygiene was maintained throughout the home and conforming to the ‘accepted good practices in the trade’ described by Environmental Health officers carrying out the inspection.
