Local authorities are funding access to a unique learning and development solution to evidence the competence of the social care workforce – and it has just gained Recognised Provider status.

The Grey Matter Group’s unique solution that facilitates the evidencing of competence, wins endorsement as a Recognised Provider from the strategic sector workforce lead, Skills for Care. Strengthening the position that the local authority is supporting the best possible opportunities for workforce development within local social care.

The Grey Matter Group’s solutions enable resource challenged adult social care providers access to a revolutionary method of assessing social care professionals and evidencing their competence through a unique online service. At a time when the social care workforce is highly transient and
sector resources over stretched, The Grey Matter Group’s solutions offer providers a quality-assured method, while making time and cost savings.

Alex Knapp, Chief Engagement Officer of The Grey Matter Group, said, “We are so proud to achieve Recognised Provider status. My team work hard to support the sector and our valued partners and this endorsement is testimony to their dedication.”

Recognition from Skills for Care provides a stamp of approval for workforce development managed in a different way. The Grey Matter Group’s solutions support providers to undertake workforce development in line with guidance from Skills for Care and NICE while meeting CQC regulations to ensure a safe and competent workforce.

The Grey Matter Group’s partners say that using their solutions saves time and money, and develops a confident, capable and competent workforce.

Tandra Forster, Head of Adult Social Care at West Berkshire Council said “We have worked with The Grey Matter Group for many years to support local providers with innovative learning and development and competence recording. We know that West Berkshire providers will join us in
congratulating the team at The Grey Matter Group for their hard work and dedication to the health and social care sector.”
