caremark-care-industry-newsNew Kent based home care provider, Caremark (Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge & Malling) donned their walking shoes and trainers to take part in the Alzheimer’s Memory Walk challenge to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society.

Bright autumn sunshine shone for the enthusiastic group of walkers and dogs who gathered in Dunorlan Park to walk the 3 laps around the lake, a total of 2.5 miles.

Each walker wore an Alzheimer’s Memory Walk Society badge and a bib recording the name of the person for whom they were walking.

The halfway point was chosen for a group photo or two before the final stretch was completed, followed by a much needed cup of tea and a late breakfast.

Martin Steyn, Managing Director of Caremark (Tunbridge Well, Tonbridge & Malling) commented: “As the event was well attended and everyone really enjoyed the morning, we are planning to make the Memory Walk an annual event and very much look forward to it growing year on year.

“Many thanks go to all who attended and to all those who made contributions via the JustGiving page and on the day.”

Caremark raised £247 in sponsorship for the Alzheimer’s Society from the Memory Walk.
