Residents at the airshowResidents from The Abbeyfield Kent Society’s two Gravesend care homes, Dene Holm and Edward Moore House, took a trip to Herne Bay to watch their annual air show.

Accompanied by activity and care staff, the group of residents made the exciting trip to Herne Bay to watch the annual spectacular air show on Sunday 14th August.

Setting up their chairs on the seafront, the group of residents joined thousands of other spectators in watching the variety of epic displays, including the world famous Red Arrows.

Whilst watching the show, the residents were treated to a traditional seaside lunch of fish and chips, also enjoying 99s for dessert before heading back home to relax.

Chris Hutchinson, home manager of Dene Holm and Edward Moore House commented: “Residents from both homes really enjoy their outings together, it’s great as they enable them to make new friends and spend time with one another in different environments.

“We recently took the residents to Greenwich Park for a picnic as a group, which they all thoroughly enjoyed and we hope to continue to do these joint days out.”
