PATRIOTIC bosses at a Hampshire care home operator have unveiled their own street mural to mark The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
The mural, measuring 10ft x 20ft, is now being seen by thousands of motorists every day on one of Lymington’s main arterial routes.
The Colten Group, which includes Lymington-based provider Colten Care, commissioned urban artist JXC to paint the mural.
It took him five days and 20 pots of paint to come up with the finished article which is mounted on four 10ft x 5ft panels.
The mural features the royal coat of arms and has the message: ‘Colten congratulates Her Majesty The Queen on her Diamond Jubilee. Long may she reign over us.’
Colten Group Director Rick Otten said: “It’s a real eye-catcher and we’ve already had a lot of comments from people saying how they like it.”
He added: “It’s a small gesture but our way of offering HM The Queen many congratulations on her Diamond Jubilee.”
The mural is on the corner of Southampton Road and Avenue Road. It is likely to remain in place for about a week after the Diamond Jubilee holiday.
Colten Care runs 19 quality care homes covering Dorset, Wiltshire and Hampshire and offers a range of services spanning residential care to nursing care and dementia.
