In his position as CMG Managing Director over the past five years, Peter has played a pivotal role in the company’s continued growth and improvement, and his promotion to Chief Executive reflects this significant contribution. He has also shown impressive leadership across the organisation, introducing many new service user-focussed initiatives (such as rolling out a staff training programme in Person Centred Active Support), promoting service user voices throughout CMG, and driving up quality ratings. CMG, founded over a decade ago now supports over 600 people throughout England and Wales with learning disabilities and associated complex needs.
Peter’s new remit includes additional responsibilities for Assessment and Referrals, Marketing, New Business, Finance and Information Technology. A new Operations Director will be appointed to support Peter with his existing day-to-day role, overseeing the operational running of CMG’s 112 services across England and Wales.
Director of CMG, Bob Lewis CBE, said:
“I am delighted to welcome Peter to his new position as Chief Executive – a crucial appointment for CMG as we continue to grow and deliver the highest quality of care for everyone we support.
“Peter could not be better placed to take on this role, given his deep-rooted commitment to our service users, his understanding of the company, and his extensive experience in the health and social care sector. I look forward to continuing to work closely with him, and speak on behalf of all staff in congratulating him on his appointment.”
